Position: Memory Care Director

Mission Creek is looking for its next Memory Care Director. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as the Director of Memory Care. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for overseeing the well-being of residents with memory care needs, ensuring their safety, comfort, and engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in resident care, leadership skills, and a passion for enhancing the quality of life for individuals with memory-related conditions.

Resident Engagement & Activities

  • Create monthly activity calendars tailored to the needs of residents with memory care needs.
  • Lead and participate in activity groups to ensure residents are engaged and stimulated.
  • Focus on the memory care unit while also supervising activity assistants in assisted living.

Care Oversight

  • Oversee and support memory care caregivers to ensure residents receive quality care at all times.
  • Ensure residents are well cared for, safe, and engaged in activities throughout the day.
  • Educate caregivers and other personnel on best practices for working with dementia residents.

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Provide guidance and support to activity assistants and memory care caregivers.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Administrative & Communication

  • Maintain accurate records of activity programming and resident engagement.
  • Communicate effectively with residents’ families and act as a resource for dementia care education.

Qualifications

  • Experience in memory care, assisted living, or related senior care setting.
  • Proven ability to lead and supervise staff effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage programs, schedules, and staff.
  • Certification as Dementia Practitioner (Preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with residents, families, and staff.
  • Passion for improving the lives of residents with memory-related needs.
