As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the flow of production parts to support the scheduling of orders and services. You will be the main point of contact for your assigned customers, communicating schedule and escalation issues to internal customers and senior management. You will work closely with production, purchasing, assembly and quality to ensure timely communication of schedule changes, priorities, etc.
Your Essential Duties Will Include
This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under the U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to, the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work for OMW Corporation, a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work. The U.S. export control regulations define a U.S. Person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., “Green Card Holder”), and certain categories of Political Asylees and Refugees.

As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the flow of production parts to support the scheduling of orders and services. You will work closely with production, purchasing, assembly and quality to ensure timely communication of schedule changes, priorities, etc.
Your Essential Duties Will Include
- Process orders in a timely manner
- Define, monitor, and adjust routing as processes and/or demand change
- Generate reports and monitor work-in-progress to ensure on-time delivery
- Communicate process and schedule changes to internal customers
- Communicate in a professional, timely manner to customer inquiries
- Escalate production and delivery issues to senior management
- Participate in production meetings and assist with administrative functions
- Interact with other departments to ensure order data is accurate and up-to-date, and that any changes are communicated effectively
- Review and analyze business to identify potential inventory opportunities or liabilities and take action to adjust inventory targets.
- Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
- 2 – 3 years of related work experience
- Experience using an ERP/MRP system
- Experience in providing excellent customer service
- Ability to quickly pick up new concepts and dive into a problem with a solutions-oriented, outcome-focused mindset
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Great organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.
