Job Summary

This intermediate level position is responsible for providing analytical support to internal clients within the marketing department, under general supervision. Provides information and insights regarding gas gathering commitments and obligations, gas gathering contracts, and production activity in order to measure performance and support business decisions.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyzes financial data and extracts and defines relevant information; interprets data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and/or to project financial probabilities
  • Reviews midstream gathering costs and performs cost benefit analysis related to projects and/or programs
  • Performs statistical, cost, and financial analysis of data reported in the various financial systems
  • Supports midstream Marketing group and other business units by assisting in the completion of competitive analysis and reporting
  • Reviews gathering invoices for accuracy and reports any discrepancies in need of adjustment
  • Tracks weekly pipeline reports and/or coordinates with midstream counterparties
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Job Specific Skills

  • Understanding of revenue and expense accrual methodology
  • Knowledge of methods and principles related to the research and analysis of data
  • Knowledge of business principles involved in marketing strategic planning
  • Knowledge and understanding of industry operations and practices
  • Able to manage multiple data sources as necessary
  • Analytical and mathematical skills
  • Knowledge of methods and principles related to the research and analysis of data


Education

Minimum: High school diploma or GED

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree - from accredited university - Marketing, Business, Economics or related field

Experience

Minimum: 2 - 5 years related work experience
