Summary

The Director of Membership Services will manage and develop the Membership Services staff, with the focus on renewing and growing season memberships for the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bandits.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Hire, train and coach Membership Services staff.
  • Actively support the development of staff members by mentoring, providing direction and performance feedback.
  • Create and implement sales and retention strategies for the Sabres and Bandits that align with organizational objectives and departmental goals.
  • Support Membership Services staff by focusing on intentional engagements to build customer relationships and increase retention rates.
  • Attend appointments with staff to drive new business and increase retention rates.
  • Attend all Sabres and Bandits games and sales events to support staff and troubleshoot any customer service related issues and/or complaints.
  • Responsible for researching and developing robust programming to aid in sales and retention efforts.
  • Collaborate across departments to execute sales campaigns that drive awareness and build urgency.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with business partners, other departments and the leadership team.
  • Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications for the Position:

  • Minimum of 5 years in sports ticket sales/service experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales management experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Knowledge of TicketMasters, Archtics, KOR CRM system(s) preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and lead by example.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, detail oriented, strong problem solving skills and decision making abilities.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Compensation:

This is a salaried, exempt role and will pay a base salary between $90,000 - $110,000. Note: Wages will be determined based on factors such as candidate experience, qualifications, skill set and internal equity.
