Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas is looking to add to our Finance Strategic Initiatives team and has a new opportunity for a Finance Systems Analyst. This position supports the organization’s financial systems by assisting with data management, troubleshooting, and user support. This role focuses on maintaining data integrity, generating reports, and ensuring smooth system operations while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This position provides opportunities to learn and grow at the intersection of finance and technology.

Compensation

 

This position can be hired at either the Finance Systems Analyst I or Finance Systems Analyst II level.

Finance Systems Analyst I

$62,640 - $74,000

Exempt Grade 14

 

Finance Systems Analyst II

$72,000 - $86,000

Exempt Grade 15

What you’ll do

 

·        Assist with day-to-day operations of financial systems, including troubleshooting and resolving system issues

·        Assist with the preparation and maintenance of system documentation and user guides

·        Participate in projects aimed at improving financial processes and system efficiency

·        Assist with testing new system features, configurations and upgrades

·        Ensure data integrity within financial systems through regular audits and validations

·        Maintain comprehensive system documentation, including process workflows and user guides

·        Identify opportunities to streamline financial workflows and implement system enhancements

·        Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in financial systems and technology

 

What you need

 

·        Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, information systems or related field

·        Finance Systems Analyst I requires 0-2 years of relevant work experience in financial systems analysis or support.

·        Finance Systems Analyst II requires 3-5 years of relevant work experience in financial systems analysis or support, along with a strong understanding of financial processes, including accounting, budgeting and forecasting.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

·        Basic to intermediate knowledge of ERP systems (Workday, Adaptive Planning or similar)

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).

·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

·        Effective communication and interpersonal skills

·        Detail-orientated and organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks

·        Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment

·        Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information to senior management and stakeholders

 

Bonus if you have

 

·        Familiarity with SQL, data visualization tools (required for level II)
