Job Description
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for reviewing and responding to requests for services activities that have been identified as a possible error, work to bring resolutions to services errors, communicate notices regarding possible solutions needed.
- Communication to staff regarding solutions to requests, over sight of service reports, act as a liaison to Accounts Receivable and Quality Improvement Departments to ensure documentation reflects billing activities, assistance in special projects given around data within the electronic medical record as needed, indexing/scanning documents in the electronic medical record and maintaining knowledge of and working within all regulatory guidelines and standards to complete all tasks.
- Oversight and review of un- posted services.
- Manages projects given around the data within the electronic record.
- Creates and maintains service desk tickets logs of reported errors for the electronic record. Send communication notices regarding to management team and staff.
- Acts as a liaison to Billing and Quality Improvement to ensure clinical documentation reflects billing activities.
- Responsible for weekly review of the duplicate service activities report in order to prevent duplicate services from being billed.
- Responsible for reviewing and processing duplicate client identification numbers.
- Assist with audit requests as they relate to billing and medical records.
- Responds to email notifications within 48 hours by resolving the identified error or communication to staff the resolution.
- Duplicate client identification numbers will be resolved within 48 hours of receipt of notification.
- Meets the identified time line given when an audit request for clinical documentation has been received.
- Errors and Corrections will be resolved within 30 days of the date of service.
