Job Overview

HamCon Builders LLC is seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Project Manager/Estimator to lead both office and field operations for high-end commercial, hospitality, and residential construction projects. This dual-role position splits time between managing projects on-site and overseeing estimating, scheduling, and coordination from the office. You will be responsible for delivering projects on time, on budget, and to HamCon's high standards of quality, all while maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships. This role requires travel for out-of-state projects and a commitment to excellence in every phase of construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule goals are met.
  • Perform detailed project estimates, including material, labor, and subcontractor costs.
  • Conduct site visits and manage field operations for 50% of the role.
  • Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and inspectors throughout all project phases.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and progress tracking.
  • Lead subcontractor coordination, procurement, and scope verification.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and project specifications.
  • Identify and resolve project challenges quickly and effectively.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, change orders, and meeting notes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in construction project management and estimating.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial, hospitality, and high-end residential construction practices.
  • Proven ability to manage both field operations and office-based estimating.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel regularly for out-of-state projects.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Schedule

  • Full-Time - Monday to Friday.
