Position Summary:The Vocational Training Coordinator III plays a vital role in developing and maintaining relationships with area businesses and associations to facilitate career pathways for program participants. This position includes case management, instruction of curriculum components, and fostering connections that lead to job placements, post-secondary education, or apprenticeship opportunities. Additionally, the Coordinator III provides program-level oversight and supervision, supporting staff and contributing to the strategic success of the Vocational School.
Hourly Rate: $26.54 - $28.85 per hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The responsibilities include the following and other duties as assigned.
Industry and Employer Partnerships
- Establish and nurture Employer Advisor relationships with local employers, industries, and workforce development agencies to create training and job placement opportunities.
- Collaborate with partners to understand specific skill requirements and job opportunities within the community to assist students entering the workforce.
- Provide supervision and support to Vocational School staff, including Coordinators I and II, interns, and volunteers.
- Assist in program planning, service delivery, and reporting to ensure alignment with grant and contract requirements.
- Provide job readiness training and support for students, including resume building, interview preparation, and job search guidance.
- Ensure training and classroom management are consistent with the policies and procedures of the Vocational School.
- Collaborate with trainers and instructors to maintain an effective curriculum that aligns with industry standards and market demands.
- Monitor student progress, attendance, and performance, and implement interventions as necessary to ensure successful program completion.
- Conduct outreach efforts to identify and recruit potential students, with a priority for low-income communities of color.
- Assist students in the enrollment process, providing guidance and support to ensure a smooth transition into training programs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with students to provide support and navigation to coaching and support services.
- Identify and address barriers that may hinder student success, offering solutions and resources to overcome obstacles.
- Match graduates with appropriate job opportunities to ensure successful job placements.
- Track student progress and enter data into program-specific databases to monitor outcomes and program success.
- Oversee opportunities for internships, job shadows, and volunteer engagement.
- Contribute to the organization’s strategic mission and goals.
- Evaluate and ensure continued improvement toward mission/program success.
- Supervise 1–3 employees and 1–2 volunteers/interns, including participants from Community Jobs, WorkSource, WorkFirst, and DVR programs.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and performance feedback to team members.
- Support staff development and ensure alignment with program goals and standards.
