Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and mission-driven fundraising professional to join our team at the Texas A&M Foundation. Depending on experience and qualifications, the selected candidate may be hired as an Associate Development Officer, Assistant Director of Development, or Director of Development. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow within a high-performing team dedicated to purposeful philanthropy and advancing the mission of Texas A&M University.
What You’ll Do…
As a frontline fundraiser supporting the Division of Student Affairs, you will serve as an ambassador of Texas A&M University, uniting donor generosity with the university's vision to shape a better future. You will develop and cultivate long-term, donor-centric relationships built on a firm understanding of the donor’s interests, passions, and values. Your primary objective will be to solicit impactful gifts that benefit Texas A&M, advancing the mission of the university, the College/Unit, and strategic academic priorities.
You will operate under the Foundation’s fundraising model, which emphasizes discovering, inspiring, inviting, and engaging prospective donors with major and planned gift potential. Utilizing active listening skills and collaboration, you will work to advance goals, funding priorities, and overall short-term and long-term fundraising strategies by securing private support.

- Bachelor’s degree or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1+ years of fundraising or related experience for Associate Development Officer
- 2+ years for Assistant Director of Development
- 3+ years for Director of Development
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- High motivation, proactive approach, and strong work-ethic.
- Commitment to the mission and vision of Texas A&M Foundation.
- Master’s degree.
- Experience in student affairs or involvement with student organizations
- Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), or other comparable certification.
- Experience in non-profit organization or higher education sectors.
- Demonstrate the attributes and behaviors of a Passionate Professional Dedicated to Purposeful Philanthropy.
- Embody the Aggie Core Values and the Foundation Beliefs.
- Contribute to team effectiveness through knowledge-sharing and proactively identifying process improvements.
- Participate in the establishment and attainment of personal, departmental, divisional, and organizational goals and objectives in support of the mission, vision, and goals of the Foundation.
