Summary
Paragon Professional Services is currently seeking a qualified Chief of Security for operations in El Paso, Texas.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position, and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job.
Provide strategic and security operational oversight for a detention facility
Monitor, review and apply Immigration Customs Enforcement Performance Based National Detention Standards 2011, revised 2019, Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) and American Correctional Association Standards (ACA)
Coordinate and Liaison with Immigration and Customs Enforcement Supervisory Detention and Deportation Officers for facility security matters
Planning and Coordination of emergency response incidents for detention operations.
Review EPSPC Administrative and Operational practices in order to ensure all security and compliance procedures are effective and efficient.
Provide organizational leadership for emergency responses on a strategic and operational level.
Capable of providing detailed planning and responding to various emergency events, such as fires, medical response and riots.
Ability to create and compose various reports.
Must be able to comprehend legal aspects of detention environments at the state and federal level.
Ability to provide comprehensive training to large audiences
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications - Experience, Education And Certification

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications
10 Years experience in emergency response capacity (DoD, DHS, DHS Contract or state/local Law Enforcement Agency).
American Correctional Association (ACA) Supervisor or higher certification
Must have certification in computer literacy for programs such as Microsoft Suites
Ability to pass physical requirement test based on DoD standards
5 years of Leadership experience in DoD, DHS, DHS Security/Detention Contract or State Law Enforcement environment.
TCOLE Firearm Instructor, DHS or DoD Equivalent
TCOLE Self Defense and Tactic Instructor or DHS or DoD Equivalent
1 year Experience in Leadership roles for SORT, SRT, SWAT, DCT or DHS or DoD equivalent
Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance (Public Trust T-2)
Leadership experience in planning for emergency response incidents
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in related field
Advanced DoD or DHS tactical certifications and experience
Bilingual in various languages
Additional Training Certifications from DHS, DoD or state/federal Law Enforcement Agency

The job is performed in an open element setting with exposure to high stress situations and requires extensive ability to think under pressure in high stress situations. The work described herein is primarily in detention facility setting. Occasional travel may be required. This position requires the applicant to report to work daily and off hours in the event of an emergency incident.
