Laboratory Assistant

Position Description:

We are a well-established market leader in the immune monitoring field, and we are seeking a talented individual to become an integral part of our Contract Research Laboratory Department. This is an opportunity to become a part of a science-oriented and dynamic environment with highly motivated colleagues. We are seeking a Laboratory Assistant to provide support to our Contract Research Laboratory.

As the Laboratory Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Performing immunology testing of biological material (specimens) collected from both pre-clinical and clinical studies, using the following test methods: ELISPOT, ELISA, virus neutralization assay (NAb), etc.
• Supporting quality improvement projects in conjunction with the RA/QA department
• Supporting our quality system, communicating with fellow laboratory personnel, maintaining laboratory equipment assisting in writing reports, checking and verifying laboratory documentation, etc
• Following general laboratory safety standards, internal standard operating procedures (SOPs), client protocols, and applicable international, federal and state regulations
  
  

Position Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree
• Additional degrees in Biology (Master of Science, etc.) are a plus
• Experience in cell culture and sterile technique
• Experience in T cell immunology using ELISPOT, ELISA is preferred, but not required
• General laboratory skills, experience with pipettes, analytical equipment, and other automated instrumentation
• At least one year’s experience within a GLP/GCP compliant laboratory
