Job Overview

S&S Directional Drilling Inc is looking for skilled and dependable Underground Laborers to support our commercial and industrial underground operations. This hands-on role includes working with underground utility systems, supporting directional drilling teams, and ensuring safe and efficient site operations. We're looking for individuals with underground experience who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with directional drilling and underground utility installation
• Operate hand tools and support equipment such as shovels, compactors, and jackhammers
• Ensure safe excavation practices and follow OSHA safety standards
• Maintain and inspect tools, vehicles, and work sites
• Follow crew leader's instructions and contribute to team success
• Support bore rig operators and vac truck operations
• Help identify and avoid existing utility lines
• Load, unload, and organize materials at job sites
• Perform daily cleanup and ensure job site readiness
  
  

Qualifications

• Prior experience in underground utilities, directional drilling, micro trenching, civil, or site work is highly beneficial
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Physically fit to perform labor-intensive tasks (lifting 50+lbs, bending, digging, trench work)
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience operating equipment is a plus
• Must be reliable, punctual, and safety-oriented
• Strong communication skills, bilingual in Spanish is a plus
• Valid driver's license preferred, CDL is a benefit

• Full-Time | Monday to Friday
• Start and end times may vary depending on project location and duration. Travel projects are available.

• Based in Corona, CA + Various Project Sites in Regional Areas (travel required for some projects).
• Upcoming Projects in the Escondido and San Diego areas.
