About the Role
The Coordinator, People Operations plays a key role in supporting both our hybrid office environment and the day-to-day needs of the People team. This role is split between providing on-the-ground support in our Cambridge office during in-office days, ensuring a smooth, welcoming, and well-run experience for employees, and delivering administrative and operational support across a range of HR functions. You'll help manage key employee lifecycle processes, coordinate onboarding logistics, maintain data accuracy in our systems, and assist with engagement and compliance initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, approachable, and excited about being a go-to resource for both employees and the People team. It's a great opportunity to build foundational HR experience while playing an integral part in keeping the team and office running smoothly.

Responsibilities
- Oversee day-of support for our Cambridge office on hybrid in-office days, including supply management, space setup, vendor coordination, and general office upkeep.
- Serve as a friendly, go-to presence for employees in the office, ensuring a welcoming and productive environment.
- Provide administrative support to the People Team across core operations and employee lifecycle processes.
- Manage onboarding logistics, including welcome emails and first-day experience coordination.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data in HR systems; assist with audits and data quality checks.
- Respond to employee questions via the shared People Team inbox, ensuring timely and helpful guidance.
- Support compliance activities such as tracking training completions and collecting policy acknowledgments.
- Assist in organizing and executing employee engagement programs, surveys, and recognition initiatives.
- Contribute to process documentation and help improve People Ops workflows and resources.
- Generate and maintain standard reports to support team operations, such as headcount tracking, onboarding checklists, and engagement metrics.
- Support the planning and coordination of employee engagement events and activities.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in HR, People Operations, or a related field.
- Familiarity with core HR operations including onboarding, benefits, and compliance.
- Experience working with HRIS systems such as BambooHR, ADP, or Lattice.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Collaborative team player with a customer service mindset.
- Prior experience supporting People Ops programs at a growing organization
- Familiarity with employee engagement tools or program coordination
