Our Retail Client is seeking a strong HR Business Partner to join their team!

What You’ll Do

  • Provide expert guidance and support to store leaders on all HR matters, including employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that aligns with company values and promotes teammate engagement.
  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence to implement enterprise-wide initiatives related to talent development, compensation, benefits, and DEI.
  • Analyze HR data and trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and drive positive operational impact.
  • Ensure compliance with California labor laws and company policies.
  • Lead change management efforts and initiatives that enhance teammate engagement and retention.
  • Oversee headcount management and partner with the Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) team to ensure effective staffing across the region.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Experience supporting multi-unit/location retail environments, preferably high-volume settings.
  • Strong working knowledge of State and Federal employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel regionally up to 50% as needed.
  • Consistent work history demonstrating progressive responsibility.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP).
  • Experience with union environments and labor relations.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $120,000 to $130,000. Compensation is based on several factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.

This role is on-site and requires you to be located in or near West Covina, CA, US.
