The Omron Robotics and Safety Technologies Division wants you to join us as a Quality Engineer who will play an active part in improving the design of these revolutionary robots. Responsibilities

  • Define incoming, in-process, and outgoing inspection criteria for the QC team
  • Improve product quality through issue tracking, analysis, and corrective actions
  • Lead root cause analysis on complex electrical, mechanical, and software issues
  • Work with strategic partners and suppliers to develop quality processes and outgoing supplier quality programs
  • Lead supplier audits to drive process improvements and compliance with QMS/EHS and EMS
  • Must be willing to travel as needed to accomplish program objectives
  • Experience in participating in product development teams as the owner of the supplier quality system requirements
  • Experience in supporting production initiatives by reducing defect rates and driving root cause analysis
  • Experience facilitates component quality control as a subject matter expert in partnership with receiving and inspection teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial) or equivalent
  • 3+ years’ experience in R&D quality assurance of complex electromechanical systems
  • Demonstrable knowledge of 8D, risk assessments, design, and process FMEA
  • Excellent analytical abilities, technical writing ability, and comprehensive understanding of quality toolbox (ISO9001, SPC, DOE, GD&T, etc.)
  • 3+ years of required experience with NPI, Process Engineering, Calibration, Incoming/Final Inspection, Supplier Quality, and APQP/PPAP
  • To conform with U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorization from the U.S. Government.

The annual salary range for this role is $105,000 - $120,000 a year, however, base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. This position is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus program. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
