INTRODUCTION: As a Materials Logistics Specialist, you will join the core team responsible for the orchestration of receiving, scrutinizing, and stockpiling both raw and finished goods. This pivotal role demands dexterity in transporting materials safely, ensuring adherence to grating panel stacking guidelines, and equipping vehicles for secure transit. Emphasis is placed on keeping our material yards pristine and leveraging Epicor for precise material transfer documentation. Facilitating safety workshops and mentoring newcomers on forklifts and cranes underpins our steadfast safety ethos at OGI.

Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Efficiently receive, appraise, and store deliveries; manage inventory flow across work stations.
- Dispatch and Logistics: Operate lifting machinery to fulfill logistics duties; maintain loading compliance standards.
- Safety and Mentoring: Embody our safety program, partaking in instructional workshops.
- Site Maintenance: Ensure workspace tidiness and dispose of excess materials responsibly.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor production quality; execute periodic checks.
- Collaboration: Facilitate clear communication within team and cross-departmentally.
- Education: Completion of high school or equivalent qualification.
- Experience: Experience handling materials with industrial equipment preferred—steel/aluminum setting advantageous.
- Aptitudes: Accurate measurement interpretation; proficient calculator-free maths; adept with tools; procedural literacy.
