Description

We’re seeking an Environmental Laboratory Analyst (GC/MS, Purge-and-Trap) to join our team in Commerce City, CO. This position will be responsible for preparing and analyzing drinking water and wastewater for organic contaminants using EPA Methods 524.2 and 624.1. What You’ll Do

  • Prepare and analyze water samples for volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and other organic contaminants;
  • Operate and maintain GC, GC/MS, and Purge and Trap instrumentation;
  • Ensure testing compliance with EPA Methods 524.2 and 624.1;
  • Communicate laboratory needs and findings with management;
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with quality control requirements;
  • Keep laboratory areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety protocols;
  • Dispose of samples and solvents according to environmental and safety regulations;
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of analytical instruments;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or related science;
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with GC, GC/MS, and Purge and Trap instrumentation;
  • Experience in an environmental or water quality testing laboratory;
  • Familiarity with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems);
  • Strong understanding of EPA analytical methods and laboratory safety practices;
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Your Schedule and The Fine Print
