Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in electromechanical packaging design for fluid flow and water quality products. This role combines hands-on engineering expertise with project management responsibilities, offering a unique opportunity to lead cross-functional initiatives from concept through production. The days will be filled with both new product development and sustaining engineering design updates.

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in electromechanical packaging design for fluid flow and water quality products. This role combines hands-on engineering expertise with project management responsibilities, offering a unique opportunity to lead cross-functional initiatives from concept through production. The days will be filled with both new product development and sustaining engineering design updates.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design of electromechanical assemblies, focusing on packaging solutions for fluid flow and water quality instrumentation products.
- Collaborate with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of components.
- Create environmental test plans.
- Manage engineering projects from concept to completion, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
- Track progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Create and maintain detailed engineering documentation including CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and specifications.
- Ensure designs meet relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Drive innovation in packaging design and fluid flow optimization.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, performance enhancement, and manufacturability improvements.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 6+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design
- Expertise in electromechanical packaging design – injection molded plastic parts, diecast aluminum parts, and machined parts
- Expertise with Solidworks CAD design software
- Project management and budgeting experience
- Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, Copilot
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Solidworks PDM
- Experience with magmeter flow measurement products
- Experience with environmental sensor measurement products

Working Conditions
- Physical Demand(s): Can lift up to 25lbs, sit and stand for reasonable periods of time
- Visual Demand(s): Ability to look at a computer monitors
- Hazard(s): Manufacturing environment. Testing equipment that requires safety precautions
