Your role

Mission

A logistics engineer guarantees availability to all our factory production lines by analyzing order picking and sequencing processes, order regimes, and delivery schedules. Your objective is to streamline our replenishment processes and eliminate non-value-added activities. This will allow you to apply your project management proficiency, continuous improvement, data analytics, warehouse design, WMS, material handling equipment applications, and implement innovative solutions based on the latest technology trends within the industry.

Roles And Responsibilities

None

Duties/Responsibilities

Performance Owner

  • Logistics applications such as Flex / CXS (picking, sequencing, etc.)
  • WMS application, hand scanners, BPCS (ERP) stock transaction accuracy
  • Be2Net supplier order portal (logistics aspects)
  • Subject matter expert for in-house WMS system (FastTrack), assisting with rollout and training of new features

Quality Improvement

  • PFMEA to prevent errors from IT transactions and operators
  • Poka-Yoke built-in quality tools to improve First Time Right performance (e.g., ring scanners, voice guidance, visual stickers)
  • Explore Virtual Reality & Augmented Reality opportunities
  • Ensure operator training, work instructions, and document control

Delivery Improvement

  • Maximize operator presence by anticipating accidents and creating ergonomic environments through Kaizen and audits
  • Design flexible racks and tools adaptable to different products
  • Reduce rework via root cause analysis from First Time Right KPI
  • Promote 5S solutions and audits
  • Ensure equipment maintenance to avoid logistic operation stoppages
  • Implement preventive actions like stock quantity checks during picking
  • Collaborate closely with purchasing and sourcing departments to optimize supply chain flows

Cost Improvement

  • Implement digitalization and automation ideas to improve safety, quality, and efficiency (e.g., autonomous rack control, pick-to-light, AGVs, autonomous transport)
  • Design world-class logistics operator balancing with minimal throughput and picking time
  • Calculate costs for new product development and warehouse storage
  • Optimize environmental footprint (scrap, CO₂ from transport)
  • Track investment payback
  • Reduce warehouse costs (e.g., increase rack height, reduce repacking)

Compliance and Innovation

  • Fulfill IMS (ISO 9001, 14000 & OHSAS) mandatory, legal, and internal requirements
  • Contribute to Kaizen & Innovation processes
  • Benchmark competition and market technology trends (e.g., VR, AR, AGV, Automation, AVIX, MES)
  • Develop networking in USA industry, other PCs, divisions, and suppliers
  • Contribute to PTM & TCM teams to improve quality and cost
  • Lead Kaizen Visual Board to introduce operator ideas quickly
  • Create best practices in logistics

Education And Experience

  • Industrial Engineer, Bachelor’s degree (Master’s is a plus)

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally
