The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum has an opening for a full-time, exempt Marketing Coordinator in the Marketing Department.

Company Overview: Located in the heart of downtown Nashville, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum documents and interprets the history of country music – a musical genre and culture central to the identity of the city, the state, and the nation. Accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, the Museum proudly combines subject expertise, ambitious research, and preservation of an unparalleled collection with expressions of creativity in music, art, and history. The Museum collects artifacts that illustrate the evolving history and traditions of country music and provides diverse learning opportunities through educational programs, publications, and exhibitions. The core exhibit follows the story of country music from its folk beginnings through its evolution as a commercial art form. Rotating exhibits examine a broad range of topics, from country classics to contemporary and emerging artists in the American Currents: The State of the Music exhibit. The Museum owns Hatch Show Print, a letterpress print shop opened in 1879, and it operates Historic RCA Studio B, where Elvis Presley and many others recorded.

Position Overview: Reporting to the Director of Brand Marketing, the Marketing Coordinator will be integral to supporting the department's marketing operations. This includes helping manage the Museum’s and associated brands’ social media presence, assisting with marketing campaigns and paid media, conducting research and reporting, and providing administrative support. The Coordinator will help ensure best-in-class marketing practices and institutional branding standards are applied across all initiatives to achieve the goals and objectives of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all areas of marketing—including digital strategy, audience acquisition and engagement, paid media, project management, and budget management, while developing a strong foundation for career growth.

Specific Job Duties Include:

  • Social Media – Support the Museum’s and associated brands’ social media presence by brainstorming and creating content, covering events, coordinating content requests with Creative and Museum Services teams, scheduling posts, and tracking/reporting on engagement and performance.
  • Promotions – Multiple promotional opportunities are secured each year with various partners. The Marketing Coordinator fulfills partnership deliverables and executes promotions from conception and fulfillment to analysis.
  • Radio Partnership Program – Represent the Museum through radio partnership program with 30+ radio stations throughout the United States; work with Marketing Managers to provide content to radio trade partners on a monthly basis; ensure completion and fulfillment of partnership trade documents.
  • On-Property Marketing – Execute digital and physical on-property marketing initiatives designed to deliver a premium guest experience.
  • Data and Analytics – Measure the success of integrated marketing campaigns and prepare External Affairs recaps for exhibitions, programs, and initiatives.
  • Market Research – Conduct research to improve understanding of audience demographics, competitive landscape, and emerging trends.
  • Media Scheduling & Fulfillment – Schedule and coordinate selected advertising buys for various departments and campaigns across print, outdoor, digital, and other traditional and digital media platforms.
  • Administration, Licensing, & Budget Support – Maintain departmental contact lists in CRM; assist with monthly financial reporting, invoices, expense reports, purchase orders, and contract management; support music/media licensing activities by tracking requests and monitoring related budgets.
  • Departmental Growth – Identify and recommend new ways to expand the Museum’s audience reach and participate in approved professional development opportunities.


Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Digital, Business, Communication or related field are required.
  • Minimum of 1 year marketing experience is preferred (including internships).
  • Able to exercise discretion and keep strictest levels of confidentiality.
  • Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance. Periodic nights and weekends are required for museum or industry/community events.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Google Analytics, social media marketing software and online applications (Sprout, Facebook/Twitter/Instagram insights and analytics, Creator Studio, Business Manager) are required. Basecamp, Photoshop, CMS (Wordpress), and CRM (Tessitura) experience is preferred.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior museum, hospitality, tourism, nonprofit, publishing, digital content, agency, or related experience is preferred.
