Company: Modern Mill – ACRE

Modern Mill is an innovative building materials manufacturer dedicated to delivering beautiful,

alternative made from upcycled rice hulls — offering the warmth and workability of real wood without

sacrificing durability, sustainability or performance.

We are seeking a Territory Manager to drive growth in Southern Florida by partnering with two-step

distributors and cultivating demand among builders, architects, designers, and other key decisionmakers.

Position Summary

The Territory Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding sales of ACRE products within

Southern Florida. This role requires a proven track record in building materials sales, deep familiarity with

the two-step distribution model, and the ability to generate pull-through demand from the specifier and

builder communities.

This is a quota-carrying role — you will have defined sales targets and be accountable for delivering

results through both direct distributor engagement and proactive lead generation. You will be expected

to prospect, develop, and close new business while growing existing accounts.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Growth & Goal Achievement

  • Consistently meet or exceed assigned sales targets for the territory.
  • Actively generate and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities through self-sourced leads and

distributor partnerships.

  • Track, forecast, and report sales results using Salesforce CRM.

Distributor Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with two-step distributors in the territory.
  • Provide product training, joint sales calls, and marketing support to distributor sales teams.
  • Monitor distributor inventory levels, sales performance, and promotional activity.

Pull-Through Sales Development

  • Call on builders, architects, designers, and contractors to promote and specify ACRE products.
  • Conduct lunch-and-learns, product demos, and jobsite visits to educate the market.
  • Collaborate with specifiers to get ACRE included in project plans.

Territory Planning & Execution

  • Develop a territory sales plan to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Track and report market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback.
  • Represent Modern Mill at trade shows, industry events, and networking functions.
  • Collaboration
  • Work closely with Modern Mill’s marketing and customer service teams to ensure consistent

messaging and excellent customer experience.

  • Share market feedback to help shape product development and go-to-market strategies.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 3–5+ years of sales experience in building materials, preferably in exterior products,

decking, siding, or millwork.

  • Sales Drive: Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Lead Generation Skills: Demonstrated ability to proactively find and develop new business

opportunities.

  • Distribution Knowledge: Strong understanding of two-step distribution and proven ability to manage

distributor relationships.

  • Market Influence: Experience creating pull-through demand with builders, architects, designers, and

contractors.

  • Communication: Excellent presentation, training, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-Starter: Proven ability to work independently, manage a territory, and deliver results.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and virtual meeting tools.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel extensively within Southern Florida.

Why Join Modern Mill?

  • Be part of a mission-driven company leading innovation in sustainable building products.
  • Represent a patented, high-performance, eco-friendly product unlike anything else on the market.
  • Work in a supportive, entrepreneurial culture where initiative is valued and rewarded.
