Position Overview
The Senior Analyst of NA Compensation is responsible for managing, setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant compensation and sales incentive programs policies, procedures, and best practices, and identifying and implementing long-range strategic compensation goals for the organization aligned to the company’s strategic direction. This role is responsible for designing and maintaining commission structures, leading automation efforts, and driving the implementation and user acceptance testing (UAT) of the new Captivate IQ platform. In addition to commissions ownership, the Analyst supports pricing strategy, capital markets portfolio analytics, long-range planning, and financial reporting. The position requires strong cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Accounting, FP&A, Risk, IT, and Data teams, with a continuous focus on improving accuracy, transparency, and efficiency in all areas of compensation.

The incumbent accepts the responsibility for establishing and maintaining the internal control system associated with the essential duties and responsibilities of the functional areas that the incumbent manages. This includes maintaining the payroll narrative and relationship with Mitsubishi HC Capital America, Inc. (MHCA)’s external auditors.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

- Primary lead for all commission-related strategy, modeling and system implementation of Captivate IQ in the US and Canada including user acceptance testing (UAT). Become the SME of all sales incentive plans by ensuring business alignment and adherence to the company’s total rewards philosophy and practices, by partnering with the Director NA Compensation & HR Analytics, and Finance.
- Leads annual compensation planning process including — compensation benchmarking, merit increase and bonus process, effect on payroll (increase budget) for NA in partnership with the Director NA Compensation & HR Analytics
- Develop & implement formalized comp structure for N/A in accordance with the overall organizational objectives and goals in partnership with the Director NA Compensation & HR Analytics
- Partner with FP&A on NA headcount and budget tracking to ensure alignment with annual plan
- Become the SME on all Compensation audit activities.
- Lead the quarterly compensation assessments for N/A and provide Accounting & FP&A with updated analyses.
- Work with HR Specialist in special projects including the development of automating the HR Quarterly Metrics report
- Establishes and Manages maintenance of department records and reports. Manages and prepares materials for local and head office audits.
- Evaluates reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.

- Development and Implementation of North American Compensation Structures : Assist in the development and implementation of compensation structures for the North American platform, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and goals.
- Financial Resource Management : Successfully anticipate, distribute, and control financial resources by considering the organization’s strategic goals and operating needs.
- Project Management : Effectively coordinate human, material, and financial resources to accomplish the efficient and effective completion of projects.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge in US compensation, and commission agreements.
- Financial modeling
- Knowledge of Sales operating systems (ie Infolease, Salesforce, Leaseplus)
- Strong knowledge of Accounting and Finance practices
- Computer efficiency, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal, organization and communication skills.
- Excellent Excel modeling and Analytical skills
- Autonomy: Able to work independently with minimum supervision and to appropriately use the leeway that is available.
- Detail oriented: Conscientiously attends to detail in order to produce precise and error-free work.
- Strong business acumen.
- Demonstrated ability to drive change, resolve conflict and facilitate teams.
- BS/BA degree in Human Resources, Finance or business field/equivalent experience.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 7+ years progressive Finance/HR experience.
- CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or CBP (Certified Benefits Professional) preferred.
- Hours may vary and will require evening work depending on business needs and will require working overtime.
