De Mattei Construction Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Architectural CAD Designer/Drafter to support our custom residential development projects. This role involves producing architectural documentation from concept through construction, collaborating closely with Concept Designers and Project Managers to deliver high-quality permit and construction drawing sets. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of architectural modeling and documentation, and a passion for working on custom, high-end residential homes.

Key Responsibilities

As an Architectural CAD Designer/Drafter, your responsibilities will include:

  • Translate design concepts from the Project Manager or Concept Designer into complete architectural drawing sets.
  • Produce accurate 2D and 3D models including space planning, floor plans, interior elevations, and construction details.
  • Generate permit-ready submittal packages with minimal direction.
  • Prepare lighting and electrical plans, furniture layouts, finish plans, and renderings.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date CAD files across multiple projects.
  • Perform project-specific due diligence to ensure accuracy and code compliance.
  • Communicate and collaborate closely with internal teams throughout the design and documentation process.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Design preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in residential architecture or drafting.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
  • Familiarity with Chief Architect, Revit, and 3D modeling/rendering software is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of architectural documentation and construction methods.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of landscape design and plant selection is a plus.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Schedule

  • Full-time - Monday through Friday
  • Standard office hours with flexibility depending on project needs
