Job Title: Director of Housekeeping

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Housekeeping to oversee the housekeeping department and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and service are maintained throughout our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the housekeeping team, providing training, guidance, and support to ensure efficient operations.
  • Develop and implement housekeeping policies and procedures to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate housekeeping activities and address any guest concerns.
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
  • Prepare and manage the housekeeping budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Address and resolve any staffing issues, including scheduling and performance management.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve housekeeping services.

  • Proven experience in a housekeeping management role, preferably in a hospitality setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

Requirements

Education/Formal Training:

  • High school diploma required; degree in hospitality preferred.

Experience

  • 5+ years in housekeeping management, preferably in hospitality.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Proficiency in housekeeping software and scheduling tools.
  • Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and safety procedures.
