Summary
Provides administrative and clerical support to the Department Manager and team to ensure efficient daily operations. Duties of the Administrative Assistant include assisting in daily office needs, drafting work agreements and basic information on reports for clients, and entering information into databases for archival purposes. Received direction and supervision from the Radon Reference Laboratory Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Provides administrative and clerical support to the Department Manager and team to ensure efficient daily operations. Duties of the Administrative Assistant include assisting in daily office needs, drafting work agreements and basic information on reports for clients, and entering information into databases for archival purposes. Received direction and supervision from the Radon Reference Laboratory Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle mail, email, and phone inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Format and prepare reports, quotes, and correspondence.
- File and track reports, quotes and correspondence.
- Maintain accurate and organized department files, records, and databases (electronic and paper).
- Miscellaneous office duties as assigned by department manager
- Support departmental initiatives, events, and special projects.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
- Ability to perform basic math computations
- Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or GED required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Strong written, verbal, and proofreading capabilities required.
- 2+ years of administrative or clerical experience preferred.
- Office environment with routine use of standard office equipment.
- May occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to read and interpret written instructions and materials necessary to perform job duties, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to exchange information with staff and understand verbal instructions necessary to perform job duties, with or without reasonable accommodation.
