Job Summary:
CJE SeniorLife is a non-profit organization focused on healthcare and education, dedicated to supporting older adults in the community. The Program Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing daily operations and programming for the Adult Day Services, ensuring participants receive meaningful and therapeutic experiences while also engaging with families and staff to enhance overall wellness.
Responsibilities:
• Assists with the day-to-day operational and administrative functions of the ADS program.
• Fosters a collaborative environment with the interdisciplinary team by providing hands-on support, maintaining clear communication, leading team meetings, sharing program updates, and following up on client-related concerns.
• Leads, monitors, and assists with daily therapeutic and recreational programming for clients in collaboration with program staff and the interdisciplinary team.
• Coordinates and maintains monthly activity calendars, schedules for volunteers, and arrangements for entertainers or visiting presenters.
• Provides onboarding, training, and oversight to volunteers and creative arts staff.
• Serves as a friendly and knowledgeable contact for clients and families seeking information about the ADS program.
• Uses active listening skills and respond to client and family feedback through client town halls, client and care partner communications, participant satisfaction surveys, and through other communications with clients, care partners, and team members.
• Conducts inquiries, pre-screening, on-site tours, follow-up, and onboarding for prospective clients and families.
• Maintains accurate and timely records of all inquiries, screenings, and tours, ensuring consistent documentation and follow-up.
• Provides families with updates regarding client adjustment, success, and comfortability in the ADS program.
• Collaborates with the Supervisor of Clinical Services and members of the interdisciplinary team to provide resources, referrals, and support to ADS clients and families.
• Generates quarterly newsletter for clients and families of the ADS program.
• Updates and maintains tracking systems and reports for client inquiries, tours, and onboarding.
• Provides hands-on support during program hours, including assisting with client care tasks as appropriate (e.g., redirecting, cueing, meal assistance).
• Collaborates with clinical and program staff to ensure smooth operations and a positive participant experience.
• Supports staff coverage needs across program spaces as needed.
• Assists with and coordinate special events, community outreach efforts, and caregiver events.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Clinical Services or Senior Manager of Cognitive Wellness.
• Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree in related fields (Social Work, human services, etc.) is required.
• Experience and comfort with leading group activities and interacting with diverse older adult populations, especially those with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Comfortable being part of a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn agency systems.
Preferred:
• Master’s Degree in related fields (Social Work, human services, etc.) is preferred.
• Experience with program development, coordination, and outreach preferred.
