- Provides nursing care using the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Addresses the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families appropriately.
- Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring side effects and effectiveness.
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided.
- Assesses learning needs and educates patients, families, and caregivers, identifying issues and resources.
