Talent Partner Summary

This role is responsible for designing and executing a proactive recruiting strategy that builds a sustainable pipeline of qualified candidates across all warehouse locations. By leveraging data-driven insights, market trends, and innovative sourcing techniques, the Talent Partner will anticipate staffing needs, optimize recruitment processes, and enhance the overall talent experience.

As the strategic liaison between the Talent Management team and Fulfillment leadership, the talent partner will collaborate closely with the HRBP, hiring managers, staffing agencies, and community networks to ensure alignment between talent initiatives and business objectives. Key responsibilities include high volume candidate management, strategic sourcing, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement of the candidate journey.

Reporting Accountability: VP of Talent Management

Working Location: Hybrid work schedule possible as performance expectations are met and maintained

Work Hours Classification: Full-time, Monday- Friday 8-,5 Occasional off-hours when job duties require. Minimal travel to warehouse locations

Talent Partner Responsibilities

Thought Leadership

  • Collaborate and work alongside HRBP to explore forward thinking recruitment and hiring strategies in alignment with Fulfillment business goals
    • Continuous improvement of the processes from candidate through onboarding
  • Use various tracking tools to manage the recruitment process, accurately entering data and generating reports
  • Provides research and reporting to support progressive actions, supports implementation of actions
  • Maintain knowledge of legal and regulatory updates as they relate to hiring processes and procedures to keep compliant
  • Provide insight to Human Capital on agency contracts and how they will affect Fulfillment
Candidate Sourcing

  • Consult with warehouse operations leaders to identify position needs and deliver customized recruitment services based on needs
    • Support the hiring manager through the complete hiring process
    • Provide hiring managers with timely communication and follow-up on respective recruiting status
  • Provide a positive and impactful experience for the candidate application through onboarding
  • Efficient and accurate use of the applicant tracking systems with VGM and agency partners
    • Facilitate proper employee documentation and records in HR systems, compiling reports as needed to ensure employee databases remain accurate and up to date.
  • Prequalify applicants and perform interviews
    • Review job openings and match applicants with job requirements
    • Check employment applications and examine work history, education and training, job skills, compensation needs, and other qualifications of applicants to fit warehouse demographics
    • Record additional knowledge, skills, abilities, interests, test results, and other data pertinent to selection and referral of applicants to build bench
  • Build talent pipelines through deepening community relationships, academic institutions networking groups, organizations etc.
  • Identify appropriate job fairs and coordinate with onsite operations leaders to staff them
For all listed responsibilities the Talent Partner works under minimal supervision, provides exceptional customer service always. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Talent Partner Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree preferred-Business or Human Resources education ideal. If not held, a minimum of 4 years of experience in a recruitment or leadership role where interviewing and hiring was a key responsibility
  • 3+ years’ experience in a strategic recruitment position highly preferred
  • Bilingual English and Spanish required

Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all roles in the organization
  • High levels of attention to detail while managing many responsibilities
  • Must be fluent in Microsoft systems and technically adept
  • Use of Applicant Tracking systems, ADP WorkforceNow knowledge preferred
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with maturity and professionalism
  • Builder of rapport inside and outside of the organization through trust, confidence and credibility
  • Must show and be able to work independently without supervision

Physical Requirements

  • Operation of office equipment and using technology efficiently such as computers, phones, misc. office equipment
  • Visual abilities to include reading, distance vision and peripheral vision
  • Moving through VGM facilities when needed
  • Occasional work required outside of regular business hours
  • Travel required rare occasions, a few times a year at most
