General Statement of Duties
The Forsyth County Department of Social Services is seeking a highly motivated self-starter to work in the mailroom.
Distinguishing Features
The desired candidate for this position must demonstrate professionalism, the ability to multi-task, be people-oriented, and work effectively in a fast-pacedenvironment. Strong verbal and written communication skills are important for interacting with internal and external customers. Excellent organizational and computer skills are necessary, with attention to detail and accuracy. Mailroom duties include receiving and sorting incoming mail, preparing outgoing mail for distribution, responding to agency staff in regards to mail, supplies or delivers, and any other tasks needed with the mailroom. Document scanning skills are necessary. Proficient typing and data entry skills are necessary.
Minimum Education And Experience
Graduation from high school or GED and at least one year of office/clerical experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered for minimum qualification requirements.
Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus.

- Mail Room Primary Responsibilities: Scanning incoming mail into the agency Laserfiche system
- Additional Mail Room Responsibilities Prepping incoming and outgoing mail, sorting incoming and outgoing mail, distributing incoming and outgoing mail, purging mail (monthly basis), cross-training on all mail room functionalities
- Other duties as assign that align with the operation of the mail room
