We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician I to join our team. As a uniquely qualified candidate, you will be responsible for production planning and inventory control for multiple products while prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay. This individual will take a lead role in continuous improvement, product flow and capacity improvement to improve the overall efficiency of manufacturing while service level targets.

SUMMARY: Process development technician involves setting up automated and manual applications, evaluating historical manufacturing methods and improving existing and future methods. Applications include but may not be limited to wire winding, surface grinding, laser cutting, laser welding, and deburring. Working under little to no supervision and following detailed verbal, written, and hands-on instructions in manufacturing multiple and complex medical devices. Programming, setting up, and running mechanical systems with complex features and ramping up manufacturing activities which involves transitioning from product development phase to high volume production operations to meet project timetables, productivity and quality goals.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: CNC Programming Setup and operation of Semi-Automated wire winding system Heat treatment process development Wire Unwinding development Processes prototype parts, using production procedures and per special instructions Conducts experiments, records test procedures, collects data, and documents results in a lab notebook Responsible for operating testing services, maintaining equipment, and specific use of the following equipment: Semi-Automated Wire winder Cryostat Instron Tensile Tester Vision system inspection methods May be tapped to get involved in laser operations, deburring operations, and forming operations Solid modeling and tooling design Executes in-process and product release testing Assists engineers with troubleshooting and debugging of equipment, tooling, and processes

CORE COMPETENCIES: High School diploma or equivalent with 2-5 years relevant experience in medical devices or Nitinol processing / manufacturing. CNC Programming CAM Programming (Preferred) CNC machining and an understanding of G code (Preferred) Proficient in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks (Preferred) Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and/or electrical aptitude when working with tools and equipment Candidate must possess good written / verbal communication skills and work well in a team environment.
