Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Physical Therapy Medical Biller to work 25–30 hours per week in-house at our Yuba City clinic. This role will handle the full revenue cycle, including insurance verification, claim submission, payment posting, AR follow-up, denial management, and patient billing.

We are seeking an experienced Physical Therapy Medical Biller to work 25–30 hours per week in-house at our Yuba City clinic. This role will handle the full revenue cycle, including insurance verification, claim submission, payment posting, AR follow-up, denial management, and patient billing.
Responsibilities
- Verify insurance benefits, authorizations, and visit limits.
- Enter charges and submit claims accurately and on time.
- Post insurance and patient payments, apply adjustments, and generate patient statements.
- Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), follow up on unpaid claims, and handle denials/appeals.
- Communicate with patients regarding balances and billing questions.
- Provide reporting on collections, AR trends, and payer issues.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare, Tricare, commercial insurance, workers’ comp, and auto billing requirements.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing (PT/rehab experience strongly preferred).
- Knowledge of Medicare, Tricare, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Workers’ Comp, and auto insurance billing rules.
- Familiarity with EMR/billing systems (experience with [insert your EMR name] a plus).
- Detail-oriented, organized, and self-directed.
- Strong communication skills with patients, payers, and staff.
- $22-28/hour
