What we're looking for
Our US client, a creative-first growth marketing agency that partners with forward-thinking brands, is seeking a Director of Paid Media to lead cross-channel strategy and campaign execution. This hybrid role is part strategist, part team lead, and part builder. It’s designed for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys shaping both performance and process. You'll help scale paid media efforts for a portfolio of ambitious clients while mentoring talent, owning results, and continuously evolving the media practice.
This position is hybrid and requires working on-site 2 to 3 times per week in the Manhattan office.
Responsibilities
- Lead paid media strategy and planning across Meta, Google, TikTok, and emerging platforms, with a primary focus on paid social ads.
- Serve as a senior partner to clients, translating growth goals into media frameworks, testing agendas, and channel mix strategies.
- Stay hands-on in-platform during key moments such as launches, scaling phases, and complex tests.
- Oversee and mentor Media Managers and Strategists by providing guidance, feedback, and enforcing best practices.
- Collaborate with leadership on team development, hiring, onboarding, and media innovation.
Requirements
- 4 to 6 years of experience in paid media, ideally in an agency environment.
- Proven success scaling campaigns across Meta, Google, and TikTok.
- Experience managing and developing junior to mid-level media buyers.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking with the ability to turn performance insights into clear action.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with confidence working with senior client stakeholders.
- Hands-on mindset with the ability to jump into platforms when needed and also guide overall strategy.
- Collaborative approach with the ability to thrive in a high-growth and entrepreneurial setting.
Nice to have:
- Experience supporting new business pitches or improving media processes.
- Interest in testing new tools, platforms, and creative approaches.
- Ability to balance brand awareness and performance goals in integrated campaigns.
