Key Responsibilities
- Analyze plans, specifications, and bid documents for complete scope review
- Perform accurate quantity take-offs for utilities, paving, concrete, and masonry
- Organize bid files, documentation, and historical data
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Prepare detailed estimates using Excel or software like PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or HCSS
- Attend pre-bid job walks and internal team reviews
- Draft scope sheets, RFIs, and bid clarifications
- Build and maintain subcontractor and supplier databases
- Ensure timely submission of complete and accurate bid packages
- Coordinate closely with field and project management teams
- Minimum 2 years of experience in estimating or civil project coordination
- Strong knowledge of underground utilities, demolition, grading, and site work
- Ability to interpret civil plans and specifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, HCSS)
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
- Effective communicator, both written and verbal
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is a plus
- Competitive base salary: $85,000-$130,000+ DOE
