Summary
The Junior Project Manager will be a key member of our IT department, responsible for overseeing and managing software and/or hardware projects. This role requires exceptional project management skills. The Junior Project Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery, meeting timelines, budgets, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively coordinate resources, resolve issues, and achieve project objectives.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, objectives, and scope.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including task assignments, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Manage and lead software and/or hardware from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project goals, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
- Identify and resolve project issues, risks, and conflicts in a timely and effective manner.
- Coordinate and communicate project status, progress, and risks to stakeholders and senior management.
- Monitor project performance, tracking milestones, deliverables, and budget expenditures.
- Conduct regular project meetings, providing updates, addressing concerns, and fostering team engagement.
- Facilitate effective collaboration and communication among project team members, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities.
- Manage vendor relationships, including procurement, negotiation, and contract management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement by evaluating project processes, identifying areas for optimization, and implementing best practices.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Participate in discovery calls to gather client requirements and roadmaps, facilitating effective collaboration and alignment for social media strategy development and implementation.
- Utilize project management tools, such as Jira and Confluence, to track tasks, document project details, and manage project artifacts.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant field is required. A Master's Degree is preferred. Additional education may substitute for experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in the IT field, with demonstrated expertise in the large-scale software development life cycle.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
- Proficient in utilizing project management methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence for task tracking and documentation.
- Proficient in communication platforms such as Slack, Zoom, and Google Meet.
- Strong background with a solid understanding of IT systems, software development, and infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle, Java, SAP, SFDC, or MSFT Publishers software.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills to motivate and guide project teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-growing company environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
- Bilingual proficiency in English/Mandarin is preferred.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- This job may require standing or walking for extended periods of time, lifting up to 25 pounds, and performing repetitive motions.
