Overview

  • The Regional BDM Director reports to the EVP Sales & Execution on the Dedicated Suntory Global Spirits Corporate team. BDM Director is expected to play a key leadership role in developing and implementing strategic marketing & commercial programs, and drive change management within SGWS on the new BDM org structure. They will work directly with market Trade Development teams, providing sales support and performance management tools to ensure the execution of key performance indicators (KPIs) and NSV utilizing BDM Scorecard. This role will be an integral part of the SGWS/SGS BDM Team, driving growth in priority brand categories for Suntory Global in the US.
  • The preferred location is aligned geographically to a SGWS Regional office. May consider remote within aligning region.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Embed, Educate & Condition Market BDMs on the Steps to the SGWS BDM Sales Call, providing expertise, playbooks, and supporting materials to support SGS Growth.
  • Drive performance management towards driving growth for SGS Brands on shelf, cold box, display, and overall category share
  • Adopt & implement Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) approach to manage business results, train key stakeholders and drive follow-up action.
  • Promote Kaizen business mindset to drive continuous improvement on new BDM organization.
  • Communicate SGS results to key stakeholders, recap in-market activities using SET 2.0 Data.
  • Responsible for Regional KEY Chain performance by analyzing and identifying additional opportunities for SGS Brands

Preferred Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of Commercial Planning, Strategy & Execution
  • Knowledge of applicable state regulations and adult beverage market dynamics
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications; word, excel, Power Point, email, and specialized business application software
  • Presentation skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade, and facilitate discussions with all levels of management
  • Interpersonal skills are required to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of organization and relevant stakeholders
  • Must require little direction or supervision, thrive on creating and selling innovative ideas and demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities on tight deadlines and maintain a high level of quality output
  • Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
  • Overnight travel as required
  • Previous beverage supplier programming, reporting & execution experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Seven years of relevant experience
  • Able to obtain and meet industry licensing requirements as needed
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and secure and maintain auto-liability insurance by state/provincial law
