Job Responsibilities
- Manage production orders and schedules to fulfil acceptable On Time, In Full, and Schedule Attainment Targets, and escalate issues, when necessary, through proper channels
- Utilize inventory and capacity for purchase complete products to meet customer requirements
- Participate in cross functional team meetings for problem solving and continuous improvements
- Provide support to product line supervisors to ensure acceptable customer service levels and help manage the material priorities of the plant
- Manage and/or participate in new product introductions and product changes to ensure on-time introduction
- Review material inventory for production lines
- Lead daily meetings to review material needs, and scheduling performance at the plant
- Manage SAP data for accuracy by updating work orders as necessary to keep system accurate and manage exceptions to an acceptable level (Master Data, Costing, etc.)
- Update GAINS for capacity planning for the plant
- Knowledge of production lines for capacity constraints, review demand for short and mid-term constraints and participate in bank-building calculations
- Maintain good working relationships with coworkers
- Manage material availability at 96.5% to have zero back log for the plant
- Generate customer required delivery and recovery reports
- Work with MANN+HUMMEL customer service team to meet customer requirements
- Generate material production related reports as per plant manager requirements
- Work closely with plant manager to deliver plant goals
- Supervise daily tasks for Production Schedulers
- Maintain inventory dollars as per the yearly MP&L Targets
- Coordinate priority list from Customer Service for the plant
- Deliver a Continuous Improvement Project annually
Education:
- Associate's or Technical degree
- 3+ years’ experience in production/material planning within a manufacturing environment
- Previous supervisory experience with direct reports
- Previous experience using an ERP System
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge and use of Excel
- Bachelor’s degree
- Previous experience using SAP
