Responsibilities
- Represent clients in workers’ compensation claims, including hearings, trials, depositions, and settlements.
- Draft and file pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, insurance carriers, and medical providers.
- Analyze medical and legal records to support case development.
- Collaborate with case managers and legal assistants.
- Participate in negotiations and mediations.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure high satisfaction.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in California, or awaiting California Bar results.
- Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
- Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Apple technology and case management software (MerusCase or FileVine preferred).
- Bilingual English/Spanish highly valued.
- Immediate hands-on litigation and courtroom exposure.
- Structured training in workers’ compensation law.
- Mentorship and clear growth path within the firm.
