Key Responsibilities
- Uphold the organization’s policies, procedures, and principles of responsibility in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Demonstrate a professional and supportive demeanor in all interactions.
- Embrace and promote new ideas and improvements in practice.
- Use effective communication strategies, including appropriate chain of command and issue escalation, to achieve desired outcomes.
- Participate in problem-solving and resolution of clinical and operational issues.
- Provide mentorship and orientation to peers regarding clinical skills and professional behavior.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective problem resolution for patients.
- Prioritize and delegate tasks appropriately to ensure timely completion of patient care responsibilities.
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements, organizational policies, procedures, and standards of nursing practice.
- Deliver patient care within the RN scope of practice, considering the age-specific needs of each patient.
- Report unusual findings to supervising Registered Nurse and contribute recommendations for updates to the patient care plan.
- Follow hospital standards and customize care based on the developmental and age-related needs of the population served.
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer literacy and documentation skills.
- Experience in outpatient or clinic settings, especially with vaccination programs.
- Prior experience in a Flu Clinic or similar public health setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- Additional certifications relevant to public health or immunization (preferred)
