Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Flu Clinic team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with clinical standards and organizational policies. This position requires strong communication skills, a supportive attitude, and a collaborative approach to delivering flu vaccination services and general patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold the organization’s policies, procedures, and principles of responsibility in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Demonstrate a professional and supportive demeanor in all interactions.
  • Embrace and promote new ideas and improvements in practice.
  • Use effective communication strategies, including appropriate chain of command and issue escalation, to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Participate in problem-solving and resolution of clinical and operational issues.
  • Provide mentorship and orientation to peers regarding clinical skills and professional behavior.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective problem resolution for patients.
  • Prioritize and delegate tasks appropriately to ensure timely completion of patient care responsibilities.
  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements, organizational policies, procedures, and standards of nursing practice.

Nursing Process Responsibilities

  • Deliver patient care within the RN scope of practice, considering the age-specific needs of each patient.
  • Report unusual findings to supervising Registered Nurse and contribute recommendations for updates to the patient care plan.
  • Follow hospital standards and customize care based on the developmental and age-related needs of the population served.

Required Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
  • Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer literacy and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in outpatient or clinic settings, especially with vaccination programs.
  • Prior experience in a Flu Clinic or similar public health setting.

Certifications

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
  • Additional certifications relevant to public health or immunization (preferred)
