Ophthalmology Optometrist Job with Centurion Health in Norwalk, CA

We are currently seeking a part-time Contractor Optometrist to join our team at Metropolitan State Hospital located in Norwalk, California.

The Optometrist examines eyes and corrects defects by use of lenses, prisms, or eye exercises, without the application of medical and surgical techniques; determines the accommodative and refractive states of the eye and the scope of its function in general; measures the powers of vision and determines the adaptation of lenses for aiding vision; uses a retinoscope, ophthalmometer, phoropter, Snellen chart, and other aids for the measurement and correction of vision; prescribes, fits, adjusts, and repairs glasses; instructs ancillary medical staff in techniques and methods; keeps records, prepares reports, and dictates correspondence.

• Active unrestricted California Optometrist license
• Current CPR certification
• Must be able to pass background check, drug screening and obtain security clearance
• Two-years' experience preferred
  
  

Daytime, weekday shifts. 16 hours per week.

Rate: $65.00/hr.
