You’ll collaborate with Activity, AI, Investment/Progression, and Engineering partners to design and implement encounters, events, and systems that scale from AI spawning and difficulty frameworks to rulesets that keep players engaged season after season.
Our studio is based in Eugene, OR and this role is available for fully remote, hybrid, or fully in-office work.
Key Responsibilities
Day to Day
- Design, document, build, and maintain encounters and activities for competitive and cooperative play (PvPvE).
- Implement AI spawn logic, difficulty bands, and activity frameworks; integrate objectives, modifiers, and rewards into readable, replayable loops.
- Partner closely with engineering and adjacent design disciplines to negotiate solutions, unblock pipelines, and raise quality.
- Act as a go-to implementer for complex, cross disciplinary content; create clear documentation, flows, and best practice guidelines.

- Prior experience as a level, scripting, or systems designer on a largescale live service game.
- Demonstrable systemic design thinking and decision making; solid instincts for how core systems impact moment-to-moment play.
- Strong cross discipline communication and collaboration skills; comfort leading work across global time zones.
- Excellent documentation habits; ability to formalize processes and futureproof content.
- Hands on with in-engine visual scripting and content debugging; comfortable working with proprietary tools.
- Experience designing/operating activities, missions, or seasonal events with modifiers and reward structures.
- Familiarity with AI behavior usage, encounter orchestration, and spawn systems.
- Experience defining or improving production pipelines and content workflows.
