Quality Inspector

Columbia, MO | Full-Time | On-Site

ThermAvant Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Inspector to support our growing operations. This role will assist the QA Manager across a wide scope of projects, requiring strong organizational skills, confidentiality, and independent judgment to manage a diversified workload.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform inspections for first articles, in-process inspections, and create associated reports.
  • Prepare and type procedures, work instructions, memos, letters, and other documents as requested.
  • Review Certificates of Conformance for accuracy and verify documentation compliance with customer requirements before releasing products for shipment.
  • Maintain and update Quality Procedures, Manuals, and supporting documentation.
  • Collect, track, and file project paperwork, providing timely status updates.
  • Communicate effectively and collaboratively with other departments.
  • Deliver and pick up miscellaneous items and orders when needed.
  • Assist with enterprise resource planning (ERP) and system implementation.
  • Support the shipping department and cross-train with other areas to provide team assistance.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems (experience with SAP or similar preferred).
  • Prior experience in quality assurance, manufacturing, or related roles a plus.

Requirements

Minimum Required Qualifications (Education/Certification):

  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to be able to perform inspections on product
  • Must have basic math comprehension.
  • Ability to utilize inspection equipment: CMM, VMM, thread gauges, 3D scanner, Mitutoyo digital height scale, calipers, pin gages, profilometer, etc.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
