What to Expect as Marketing Director

We’re looking for a dynamic Marketing Director to lead a portfolio of beloved brands into their next chapter of growth. You’ll own and execute strategy across, innovation, communications, and media, while inspiring a high-performing team to build long-term plans that win market share and deepen consumer love.

This is a hands-on leadership role—you’ll tour factories, attend flavor camps, and partner directly with cross-functional teams to bring products from concept to shelf. You’ll balance big-picture thinking with tactical execution and make bold decisions that drive real impact.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end brand strategy to drive awareness, engagement, and sales growth.
  • Inspire and mentor a high-performing marketing team.
  • Oversee brand positioning, messaging, and visual identity for consistent market impact.
  • Drive innovation and new product development aligned with brand strategy.
  • Lead digital and traditional marketing efforts: social, paid media, SEO, influencer partnerships.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Product Development, and Operations to align marketing with business goals.
  • Analyze campaign performance, consumer insights, and market trends to refine strategies.
  • Champion creative collaborations and campaigns that elevate brand love and customer loyalty.


What You Bring

  • 8+ years in marketing (3+ in leadership), ideally in CPG, food & beverage, or lifestyle brands.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-impact, integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Creative and analytical mindset—able to merge strategy with flawless execution.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
  • Passion for food, community, and creating memorable brand experiences (bonus: you’re an ice cream enthusiast!).

The pay scale for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The pay range for prospective employees in this role is between $185,000 and $225,000 per year.
