Description
The Warehouse and Shipping Supervisor will oversee and enhance the shipping and receiving operations, with a focus on ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems, as well as international shipping. This role is essential in ensuring that both domestic and international logistics processes run smoothly, with accurate tracking, compliance, and timely deliveries. The ideal candidate will have a background in international shipping, strong familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, and a proven ability to adapt these tools to streamline operations.

Work Schedule: 7:00am - 5:30pm Monday - Friday, Occasional Saturdays may be required. Supervisors are expected to be present when their team is working unless otherwise agreed.

Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
ERP/MRP Management and Optimization
- Lead the team in adapting and maximizing ERP/MRP systems to support shipping, receiving, and logistics processes, with a focus on international shipments.
- Ensure accurate data entry and updates within ERP/MRP systems to reflect real-time shipping, receiving, and logistics transactions.
- Utilize ERP/MRP-generated data and reports to monitor and optimize international shipping lead times, cost-efficiency, and compliance with international standards.
- Oversee all aspects of international shipping, including customs documentation, regulatory compliance, and carrier coordination to ensure timely delivery.
- Collaborate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and international carriers to handle cross-border logistics and resolve issues.
- Maintain knowledge of international trade laws, tariffs, and duties to prevent delays and ensure smooth customs clearance.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics for both domestic and international shipments using ERP/MRP tools for tracking and managing timelines.
- Verify, record, and update shipment contents and quantities within ERP/MRP systems for full traceability.
- Analyze ERP/MRP data to improve logistics processes, reduce lead times, and enhance efficiency for international and domestic shipping.
- Train and support team members in using ERP/MRP systems for domestic and international shipping processes.
- Delegate and monitor daily tasks, ensuring adherence to system-based workflows for international documentation and shipping requirements.
- Provide performance feedback focused on international shipping best practices and ERP/MRP utilization.
- Ensure all international shipping activities adhere to regulatory requirements, updating ERP/MRP systems to document compliance steps.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols specific to international shipping, including hazardous material labeling and handling.
- Track and analyze incidents within ERP/MRP systems to improve shipping safety and compliance.
- Excellent technical aptitude with ERP/MRP systems, logistics management software, and MS Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of international shipping regulations, customs processes, and freight management.
- Effective leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, with an emphasis on international shipping and ERP/MRP utilization.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong experience in international shipping processes and customs documentation.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and experience adapting these tools for international logistics.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move items up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in varying warehouse conditions (temperature, noise, dust, etc.).
- Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
