Job Summary

The Assistant Spa Director helps in supervising all aspects of Retreat operation, including revenue and profitability, inventory management, and ensuring brand systems and processes are executed daily. We are seeking an Assistant Retreat Director who reports directly to the Regional Director. The essential duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Director are to assist the Regional Director in ensuring exceptional guest service and team member culture and satisfaction. The ideal candidate excels in sales and is responsible, ambitious, and diligent.

Schedule/Expected Work Hours

  • Must be able to work varied hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • 8-10 hour shifts
  • Day and evening shifts
  • Generally works 5 days a week (more if needed)- 4 weekdays (2 opening & 2 closing) and 1 weekend day (8:30 am to 5:30 pm), and as needed to fill in, train new Team Members, and monitor the busiest days (Thursday-Sunday).
  • The ASD is available by phone or text during business hours to assist staff as needed.


Maintain the following goals:

  • 25% membership conversion rate
  • 40% Elevation Rate
  • Retail sales equal to 5% of gross revenue
  • Set goals for retail, re-booking, and add-ons booking goals.
  • Set daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly plans to achieve Retreat profitability goals.
  • Plan, prepare, and execute events to promote in our area.
  • Set up and promote Corporate Lifestyle Programs to area businesses.
  • Develop incentives and implement them to motivate peak performance.


Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruitment, hiring, training, developing and retaining employees
  • Facilitate front desk associate training as assigned. Training includes coaching and role-playing to support membership sales
  • Manage team member schedules to ensure proper execution of daily operations
  • Collaborate with the Spa Director to set individual team member and overall Retreat goals
  • Create an environment that is passionate about providing awesome guest service
  • Build guest loyalty by consistently following the proven operating system of Massage Heights
  • Coach Team Members to achieve peak performance.
  • Create a positive Team environment.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of sales or retail management experience with P&L experience
  • Self-starter mentality with leadership, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in training, coaching, and conflict resolution with employees
  • Working knowledge of computers and standard software
  • Basic business math skills
  • Must successfully complete the Initial Training Program


Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Zenoti or similar spa POS software systems
  • Understanding of spa environment and massage, and skincare services
  • Experience working in a franchise model
