What This Role Is…
As a Manager of Product Office, the primary function of this position is to lead a team of Business Analysts and Product Managers, drive the strategic direction for multiple product lines, and oversee the lifecycle of products from concept to launch. The Manager of Product Office collaborates closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure product solutions meet the needs of customers and align with company objectives. Leadership will be key to defining product roadmaps, managing cross-functional teams, and delivering high-quality products that impact the business and our users. Your contributions will ensure the success of the Tech Product Office at CITY Furniture.

What You’ll Do…
As a Manager of Product Office, your primary responsibilities will be:
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of product managers, ensuring a high level of engagement and performance. Develop the team's skills and capabilities, providing coaching and feedback to help them thrive.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation through to launch and iteration. Ensure that products are delivered on time, meet quality standards, and achieve business objectives.
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for key product lines, balancing short-term needs with long-term goals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales to align on product priorities, timelines, and requirements. Ensure smooth collaboration across teams to deliver successful product outcomes.
- Market & User Research: Conduct in-depth market analysis and customer research to understand user needs, pain points, and competitive landscape. Use insights to inform product strategy and decision-making.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the product ambassador, providing clear and consistent communication to internal and external stakeholders. Report on product performance and key metrics, and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Metrics and KPIs: Define success metrics for your products and drive continuous improvement by tracking performance, gathering user feedback, and iterating on product features.
- Innovation and Best Practices: Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, ensuring the product management team is adopting best practices and applying innovative solutions.
- Adheres to all assigned Standard Work and Role and Responsibilities for your role.
Competencies and Job Specific Skills
- Proficiency in JIRA or equivalent application
- Proven track record of successfully leading and scaling complex products from concept to market.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with experience managing and mentoring product managers.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to a wide range of audiences.
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and product development processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic environment.
- Education & Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience in related field
- Five (5+) years of experience in software development/ product management and experience in leading a team of at least 5 or more people.
- Work Environment & Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- 10% of Travel
- Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged sitting, standing, walking
- Technology Requirements:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Excel, Word, and Outlook, etc.)
- Google Suite (i.e. Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
- Proficiency in JIRA
- Certifications / Licenses
- Srum Master (A+)
