The community you'll be caring for: AdventHealth Central Texas
General Summary
Performs MRI imaging procedures. Assist Radiologist in special procedures such as biopsies. Maintains records of examinations performed. Obtains and documents patient clinical history. Performs darkroom, clerical and transport functions. Participates in standby call. Performs basic patient care with scope of practice and to departmental standards. Assists in Radiology Department as needed. Responsibility to adhere to the Florida Hospital Corporate compliance plan, to the rules and regulations of all local, state, and Federal agencies, and to the standards of all accrediting bodies.
Principal Duties And Job Responsibilities
Performs MRI imaging procedures.
Maintains records of examinations performed.
Obtains and documents patient clinical history and explains procedure.
Positions patients and equipment, and selects technical factors to produce procedure images and data as needed to meet radiologist standards.
Sends images to QC station and then to PACS and archives images
Enters patient demographic information into logs and system.
Transports, lifts, moves and positions patients as needed to obtain images, transport patient to/from department, table or as otherwise needed for patient care.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Must be a graduate of an approved A.R.R.T. program with current A.R.R.T registration and state license in Radiography.
MRI registered or one-year experience.
Licensure by the ARRT in MRI required.
Two Years CT/MR Experience Required.
Two years of CT experience is needed for entry level MRI position if no previous MRI experience.
Texas State MRT license.
MRI registered or one-year experience.
Licensure by the ARRT in MRI required.
BLS required
