Brief Description

Job Summary

The Human Reources Specialist is an integral part of our HR team, with a primary focus on full-cycle recruiting and employee engagement, leveraging their expertise to attract, retain, and develop talent, and ensuring alignment with our organizational goals and culture. In addition, the HR Specialist will be responsible for a varity of general HR duties and, as needed, will take on HR-related projects and administrative duties that support the HR function.

Main Responsibilities

Full-Cycle Recruiting

  • Create the highest quality candidate experience for new team members throughout the recruiting process and through onboarding.
  • Assist in the implementation of effective recruiting strategies to attract desired talent based on individual roles.
  • Conduct full-cycle the recruitment process, including but not limited to, sourcing, creating job postings, administration of job postings and any related external advertising, organizing and attending career fairs, screening applicants, coordinating and scheduling interviews, and issuing job offers.
  • Assist in the facilitation of the employee lifecycle (i.e., pre-boarding, on-boarding, and off-boarding).
  • Leverage current recruiting tools - social media, AI, job sites, job fairs, community outreach programs and professional organizations to proactively reach candidates and build talent pipeline.
  • Support all Talent Acquisition related administration, including Applicant Tracking System updates, notes and workflows, track metrics and performance of the hiring cycle, generate reports and create presentations, maintain accurate and up to date Talent Acquisition documents and files, and review job descriptions to ensure accuracy.
  • Continually assess and track market trends to stay current with best practices of recruiting efforts.

Employee Onboarding

  • Execute a comprehensive onboarding program for new hires, ensuring a seamless introduction to the company culture and operations.
  • Provide necessary training on policies, procedures, and compliance matters.
  • Monitor and support new employees during their initial probationary period, addressing any concerns that may arise.

HR Administration And Compliance

  • Execute employee onboarding and off-boarding administrative duties.
  • Monitor and disseminate and/or respond to all email and messages into HR via email, chat, mail, etc.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports to inform strategic decision-making.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration , or a related field.
  • Certification in HR or recruiting (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional work experience in Human Resources or related field (required); 3 years of experience with full-life cycle recruiting and hiring (preferred).
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruiting platforms and tools.
  • Comfortable with creating reports and presentations used to develop data insights.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter who works well independently and thrives in a team environment working collaboratively.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, maturity, and integrity.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
