Position Summary:
The Business Intelligence Analyst is a member of the Azamara BI team and will provide support across various functions, creating more robust and proactive approaches to drive sales and revenue growth, increase profitability and develop long-term growth strategies across the brand. The Analyst will develop reporting and data engineering solutions to provide quantitative and qualitative business insights and improve decision making across various departments. Additionally, the Analyst will work closely with other departments and be responsible for processing data, analyzing, creating reports and presenting finding to all levels of management.

The Analyst will develop reporting and data engineering solutions to provide quantitative and qualitative business insights and improve decision making across various departments. Additionally, the Analyst will work closely with other departments and be responsible for processing data, analyzing, creating reports and presenting finding to all levels of management.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Heavy work in Power BI to help the business make informed decisions by providing actionable data-based recommendations.
- Develop and manage reporting and deep analytics for various departments on time and accurately to enable data driven decisions.
- Utilize visualization tools to translate data into easy-to-understand reports and dashboards, used to drive actionable recommendations.
- Produces analytical models, including quantitative and qualitative analytics on all areas of the business to deliver in-depth assessments of performance.
- Responsible for querying data, analyzing, creating reports, and presenting finding to all levels of management.
- Create ad-hoc reports, identify key learnings, and draw conclusions based on analysis and interpretation of data.
- Works with IT to ensure system and reporting enhancements meet business needs.
- Uses Paginated reports / Power Automate to create automated triggered emails containing time specific data sets.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of analytical experience preferably in a business-oriented data analytics role.
- Strong analytical and process improvement skills
- Experience in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau
- Technical skills in SQL required, Snowflake SQL preferred.
- Technical skills in programs like: SQL, Advanced Excel, SAS, R, Python, Dax.
- Microsoft 365 proficiency including power automate.
- Datawarehouse creating tables and views, scheduling, etc.
- Experience with analytical manipulation and interpretation of large databases required.
- Ability to communicate findings in a simple and/or visually simple way to absorb the data presented.
- Ability to work well with non-technical business partners.
- Ability to work accurately and effectively to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks related to own responsibilities.
