Job Summary:
The Human Resources (HR) Manager will support Ascend’s U.S. operations in partnership with the Eurofins HR National Service Center (NSC). The HR Manager will proactively manage HR operations and engage with staff at all levels of the organization. Engagement with management in Laboratory Operations, Client Services, Finance and Sales is a weekly occurrence. Expertise with organizational development, employee relations and benefit administration is preferred. The ability to act independently with confidence and exercise sound judgement is important in order to build internal relationships with Eurofins HR NSC. This is a full-time, onsite role based in Sunnyvale, CA


Responsibilities:
  • Guide leaders and employees regarding Company policies, values, HR programs (benefits, pay and salary) administration and interpretation to ensure policies and procedures are handled consistently and in a timely manner
  • Diagnose organization issues, develop solutions and implement action plans
  • Ensure activities are in compliance with all state and federal employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO and FLSA)
  • Assist with executing staffing strategies for exempt/non-exempt hiring needs. Partner with local teams to ensure ongoing outreach
  • Communicate with confidence and effectively present to all levels of the organization
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with overlapping tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Implement onsite HR infrastructure including, Benefits, Compensation, Talent Attraction, Policies and Organizational Effectiveness to support Ascend initiatives
  • Administer HR data and analytics, HR software, performance management, and all other critical HR systems and processes. Maintain our HR systems and data integrity to ensure accuracy and consistency of employee information
  • Continue to build out end-to-end onboarding processes for both clinical and non-clinical teams, continuously reviewing and iterating to ensure a best-in-class experience
  • Partner with teams and individuals to help them continuously improve their effectiveness and achieve business and career goals. Use data and problem-solving methodologies to continuously improve internal HR processes
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Human Resources experience. Experience in a high-touch HR environment is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business, or related field required
  • Familiar with CA and CO state and Federal regulatory requirements pertaining to workplace practices
  • Have used data and problem-solving methodologies to continuously improve HR processes and service levels to the business within the structure of the HR NSC
  • Balance your strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an empathetic communication approach. Be a builder and be comfortable implementing and administering HR tools
  • Adept at identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities
  • Compassionate, open-minded, and non-judgmental. Ability to think quickly and solve problems in the moment or know who to reach out to

Compensation:

- $110,000-$150,000
