Elections Division
The Elections Division supports the Secretary of State, as the state’s chief election official, by administering and supervising statutory and constitutional provisions that relate directly or indirectly to the conduct of Colorado elections. These include certifying content to the ballot, publishing the abstract of vote totals, as well as overseeing the verification of petitions for ballot issues, campaign finance filings and enforcement, lobbyist filings and enforcement, voting equipment certifications, requirements of the National Voter Registration Act and the Help America Vote Act, and maintaining the statewide voter registration system.
The County Regulation and Support unit supports, regulates, and provides training opportunities to Colorado's sixty-four county clerks and their staff members. As well as supports county elections officials in a variety of ways, including hosting and preparing content for regular weekly meetings to review requirements and best practices for election-related topics and process.

Minimum Qualifications
This position requires a total of 5 years in relevant experience and/or education in a field of study related to the work. To be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate that you meet one of the following options outlined below:

Five (5) years of professional experience coordinating programs or projects, including scheduling, developing content, organizing resources, and facilitating group activities, with strong communication skills and experience using common presentation software.
OR
OPTION 2 – Experience and/or Education – Be sure you’ve attached a copy of your unofficial transcript to qualify for this option . (Y ou may redact information that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution.)
A combination of related education and/or relevant experience as defined in Option 1 to equal five (5) years. Related education includes accredited course work in education, business administration, communications, organizational leadership, public administration, or a closely related field.

As the Elections Training Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and delivering online and in-person training.
- Managing certification and training related administrative tasks.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholder groups.
- Maintaining confidentiality of all voters confidential and personal identifying information, personnel information, and any other confidential or proprietary information, as well as comply with all State and Department policies regarding professional conduct and professional practices.
Develop and Deliver Online and In-Person Training
- Plan and schedule in-person training twice per year in coordination with county regional meetings, where appropriate .
- Coordinate planning and scheduling other training projects like new clerks training, tabletop exercises, and internal staff training.
- Collaborate with the Deputy Director to develop in-person and online course content for election official certification that promotes uniformity and best practices in conducting elections, implements adult learning principles, and reinforces ethical election administration.
- Maintain current and organized Division records of past and current versions of training courses and materials.
- Assist new trainees with enrolling and navigating the e-learning platform.
- Assist trainees with login and issues accessing training courses.
- Accurately track and record course completions and credits earned by enrolled trainees during the applicable certification/recertification period.
- Issue certifications or recertifications to trainees who satisfy the requirements and advise trainees who did not satisfy the requirements that their certifications have lapsed.
- Conduct training evaluations following every in-person training to solicit participant feedback on the course design, delivery, and content.
- Regularly seek feedback from participants on the course design, delivery, and content of online trainings.
- Synthesize and review course evaluations and online course feedback to identify barriers to learning, gaps in the existing curriculum, and other training need , and discuss the summarized findings with Division leadership and subject matter experts.
